Charter School Marketing Strategy

New Heights Business Academy of Sports Leadership and Development (NHBA), a start-up charter school, located in the warehouse district of Southeast section of Memphis, Tennessee, will have its first class in August 2011. NHBA will enhance the charter school movement by introducing students to the business-side of athletics. Educators, supporters, and parents became concern after noticing the poor business decisions many athletes make during their careers. A mutual decision arrived that athletes did not know how to market themselves. On this idea alone, plans for NHBA were underway. What are charter schools? Charter schools are independently-ran public schools created by concerned individuals who saw there was a lack of quality education in the public school system. These schools are free to select their own educational goals and curriculum, choose their own teaching staff, and set their own standards for student behavior. In addition, they have the freedom to extend the school day and year. According to the Tennessee Charter School Association (TSCA), since 2002 seventeen charter schools operating in the State of Tennessee, with applications submitted each year. Approval for new charter school applications is through a state mandated agency, the Local Education Agency. Currently there are 24 charter schools operating in Memphis. (www. mcsk12. net) The charter school law mandates that charter school has to open it doors to all students, including physically and mentally impaired students and students of a diverse background, with first priority given to students that : * have previously attended a charter school * attend poor performing schools * scored below proficiency on the TCAP and Gateway exams * receive free or reduced lunch The law states that charter school can only select 25% of their students qualifying on free and/or reduced lunches. The remainder will come from the above categories. Charter schools are the school of choice for many parents because of the quality of education they provide. Parents are at ease knowing their child is in a safe, learning environment; their individual needs are met; and will receive the necessary tools for success. These schools have set high standards in education and must adhere to those standards if they want to remain open. However, public schools remain open no matter how they perform. According to the TCSA, 100 % of charter school funding is issued from the state and local governments. They are entitled to Title I and Special Education funds based on student enrollment. Unlike public schools, charter schools have to depend heavily on grants, donations, and fundraisers to cover costs, such as, start-up, renovation, construction, and other expenditures not incorporated in the funding budget. Commercialappeal. om printed an issue in July 2010, which stated last year charter schools received $10,394 in funding per child. Since Memphis City Schools is being tasked with overseeing charter schools, a fee of 3% will be charged. After the fee is placed, charter schools will receive $7,633 per child, excluding school lunches and other fees not obligated by the district. There will be fifteen charter schools affected by this fee. New Heights Business Academy of Sports Leadership and Development (NHBA), is a publ ic charter school that will serve prospective students in 9th thru 12th grades. NHBA will address the needs of students academically and athletically, in a business environment. As a charter school, our focus is to prepare students for college through innovation and abundance in an attractive and meticulous college-preparatory educational program, which meets the needs of today’s students. In conjunction with learning the regular subjects like Math, English and Science, NHBA focuses on Business as it prepares students for college and life, and introduces athletes to enrichment that will allow them to excel physically and psychologically. We plan to introduce students to a setting that hinges on business and athleticism development. NHBA will open in the fall of 2011 and will be accepting applications for enrollment for 100 Ninth-grade slots. The school plans to add a grade each year and hopes ultimately to serve 500 hundred students in grades 9th through 12th. NHBA is conveniently located, in Southeast Memphis on the corner of Riverdale and Winchester at 7060 Winchester Road Memphis TN 38125, in the warehouse district. Mission. At New Heights Business Academy of Sports Leadership and Development (NHBA), our mission is to academically develop and prepare students for the social environment of business and athletic professionalism through a core curriculum profoundly based on preparing them to be business literate and knowledgably confident in marketing themselves in whichever venue they choose. In pursuant of our mission, NHBA aspires to provide structured curriculums with a business foundation. Our focus is to educate and prepare potential students for college and ultimately life. Environmental Analysis/Competition Southeast Memphis consists of zip codes 38141, 38125, and 38115. The combined populations for those three zip codes are 87,247. For the population for this area of the city, almost 20,000 are families with children who could be prospective students at NHBA. As a public charter school our competition are the public schools, the private schools and the optional schools in and near this area, to include other charter schools. At least eight high schools serve this vicinity, not including the private schools. Of those schools in the area, two of them are on the list for striving schools (Memphis City Schools, 2010). NHBA will focus its target first on middle schools in the Eastern section of the City of Memphis, such as Ridgeway, Kirby, Southwind, Germantown, and any other schools in the area. Our main competition will be established and upcoming charter high schools, such as Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, Memphis Academy of Health Sciences, and KIPP Academy. Then we will expand out target market to other areas of the city. The southeastern part of the city was selected for the reason that there are no charter schools in this area. A charter school in this area will serve as a convenience to working parents who want to enroll their children in charter schools. Trends Affecting the Outcome Our school structure is in desperate need of transformation. Only 54 percent of African American high school students and 56 percent of Latino high school students graduate. Even students who receive high school diplomas often lack fundamental academic skills; nearly a third of first-year college students require remediation in math or English. In many major cities, the education crisis is confounding. In Detroit, for example, only 3 percent of economically disadvantaged eighth-graders are proficient in math (Tennessee Charter Schools Association, 2010). July 2010 Memphis school board approved fees from charter schools, over time Memphis City Schools will charge a three percent fee for overseeing the charter schools. The school board’s decision to charge the fee will mean less money for students of some charter schools (Roberts, 2010). Possible legal or regulatory issues Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, a significant amount of funding has been targeted to improve state and local education systems. Tennessee was chosen as one of the two states out of sixteen to receive grants. Over the next four years, Tennessee will receive $500 million to implement their comprehensive school reform plans (Learning Point, 2010). For NHBA’s survival, recruiting will be an important factor in retaining students. If we retain students, we receive funding. If we receive funding, we can offer an attractive program that will entice parents to enroll their students at NHBA. As with any business, the first year is the most difficult. To overcome these obstacles, NHBA and its supporters must ensure that our school offered an attractive package. We needed to know: * Did we have a clear and concise mission and vision statement? * Were we being honest and realistic about what NHBA has to offer? * Did we have a live point-of-contact and follow-up information for questions? * Is there a demand for the type of school you are marketing? * Did we know our target market? NHBA is aware that our best recruiters are out parents and students. With the aid of our supporters, we will be able to reach our target market. The movie made me believe that there is God. Initially, I thought that most disabled people are sad, hopeless and cannot do anything to help themselves and the people around them. However, this changed after watching the movie ans saw how Simon birch once saved children from a sinking bus. That made me look at the disabled people different, as people who can also do amazing things. The movie made me respect the disabled, while interacting with them give them credit and believe in them. Companies should give equal opportunities to individuals concentrating on their merit and not their race, tribe, nationality, religion or condition. Time, Money, Morality and Self-Reflection Christina Trofimenko Abstract Gino and Mogilner’s study on time, money and morality (2013) presents findings that suggest that dwelling upon the general concepts of time and money can impact upon the moral choices that individuals make. The link found between time, money and cheating by Gino and Mogilner (2013) is very convincing. The methodology used to obtain these links is found to be very well verified by other studies (Bargh, Chen and Burrows, 1996) and also even superior than other methods (Bryans, Adams and Monin, 2013). Another conclusion that Gino and Mogilner (2013) come to is that self-refection is the cause of the effects, this however is not as convincing as they use self-awareness techniques to increase self-refection. Other research suggests that self-awareness does not always promote moral behaviour, meaning that the two concepts are different, (Vallacher and Solodky, 1979) thus Gino and Mogilner’s study has not effectively examined self-refection. Time, Money, Morality and Self-Reflection? The idea that time and money have the ability to impact upon one’s moral decisions is quite shocking (Gino and Mogilner, 2013). Prior to Gino and Mogilner’s study (2013) there have been links found between money and anti-social behaviour such as a diminished desire to help and work with others (Vohs, Mead and Goode, 2006). Time however has been connected with pro-social behaviour such as a stronger desire to socialise (Mogilner, 2010). Gino and Mogilner (2013) however go on further to link time and money to morality, attributing the amount of self-reflection elicited as the cause. They define self-reflection as the evaluation of how ones actions will affect their self-image, stating that acting morally will increase positive self-image which is more desirable (Adler, 1930 and Rogers, 1959 as cited by Gino and Mogilner (2013). The link found between time, money and morality seems to be very convincing, however the attribution of self-refection as the cause is not so. Thi s is due to definitional issues which would have impacted upon Gino and Mogilner’s (2013) methodology. The link between time, money and the likelihood of cheating was proven to be fairly significant by Gino and Mogilner (2013). Time and money were described as general concepts and it was seen that the intent was to examine how thoughts of these concepts would affect behaviour. Priming was used by Gino and Mogilner (2013) which has been shown to be a very effective technique which can reveal subconscious attitudes towards the concept being primed. Bargh, Chen and Burrows (1996) showed that when participants were primed with words that were associated with the elderly, they took longer to walk down a hallway than those who were not primed. Bargh et al. (1996) concluded that this effect was due to the activation of the elderly stereotype. It was also shown that participants that were primed with rude words displayed ruder behaviour than those who were primed with polite words (Bargh et al., 1996), showing that people can be easily influenced by exposure to concepts. Thus, the effects see n in Gino and Mogilner’s (2013) study can be certainly attributed to subconscious attitudes that participants had about the general concepts of time and money. The way in which morality was operationalised was specific to cheating behaviour, meaning that links drawn between time, money and morality can be extended only to immoral behaviour that is related to cheating. Cheating involves lying and stealing, both of which are involved in much immoral behaviour that has major impacts upon society (Gino and Mogilner, 2013). Gino and Mogilner (2013) employed a very effective technique to measure cheating behaviour that allowed them to determine whether cheating occurred and to which extent it occurred. By using secret identification numbers they were able to identify worksheets of participants who thought they were anonymous, without stirring up suspicion. Bryans, Adams and Monin’s (2013) study measured cheating by comparing the statistical likelihood that a person would think of an odd number first with people who are given a chance to lie and benefit financially. Their technique was able to determine the likelihood that cheating occurred , but results were not as definite as the ones in Gino and Mogilner’s study (2013). Thus the link between money, time and cheating behaviour is very strong as concepts were operationalised and measured very effectively. The link made between self-refection and time, money and morality however, does not seem to be as clear. Throughout their study, Gino and Mogilner (2013) use the terms self-awareness and self-reflection interchangeably, thus using techniques that increase self-awareness to increase self-refection in their study, namely the mirror technique. The mirror technique has been shown to increase self-awareness which in turn decreases cheating (Duval and Wicklund, 1972, as cited by Diener and Wallbom, 1976). However it has been found that when an individual’s ability or other internal factors are being attributed to their performance on a task, subjects that are more self-aware (i.e. had a mirror in front of them) will cheat more as self-defensive tendencies are triggered (Vallacher and Solodky, 1979). However when causes of failure are attributed to external factors such as luck, subjects who were self-aware barely cheated, in contrast to this non self-aware subjects cheated similarly in both cases (Vallacher and Solodky, 1979). If this indeed is the case, self-awareness will not always increase the likelihood of acting morally, thus self-reflection is not the equivalent of self-awareness in all cases. The results of Experiment 3 (Gino and Mogilner, 2013) showed that when a subject was made more self-aware by the presence of a mirror; the time and money conditions had the same amount and extent of cheating. However, Gino and Mogilner (2013) didn’t relate the individual’s success to internal factors and thus self-awareness in this context would have reduced cheating (Vallacher and Solodky, 1979). In this case, perhaps the mirror did not invoke self-reflection but rather self-awareness which in the context reduced cheating. In experiment 2, (Gino and Mogilner, 2013) different types of self-awareness were seen to have different effects on cheating levels such as was shown by Vallacher and Solodky (1979). When personality was attributed to success, cheating levels between time and money were the same. However, when intelligence was attributed, those prime d with money cheated more. The individuals in the time condition cheated equally in both conditions, suggesting that time does have an impact upon the way people behave. Whereas, attributing the cause of the effect on self-reflection does not seem to be as convincing since Gino and Mogilner (2013) failed to make a distinction between self-reflection and self-awareness in their methodology. In conclusion, Gino and Mogilner (2013) have found a convincing link between time, money and morality as concepts were well defined and operationalised. The causal attribution of these effects to self-refection however was not as compelling, as Gino and Mogilner (2013) failed to recognise that self-awareness is not the equivalent of self-reflection in all cases. Due to these definitional issues the conclusion made by Gino and Mogilner (2013) that self-refection is the cause of the effects may not be entirely correct. My American Dream :: American Dream Essays

It seems that so often the subject of economic standing and wealth, are said synonymously with the phrase "The American Dream". It seems that it takes money to be happy and economic stature to be accepted; however, many people who fall into this trap out of ignorance will never achieve "The American Dream" they strive towards. The clichà ©, "In America, you can be whatever you want," always brings a smirk to my face. I am not a cynical person, but this just isn't true. If I decided I wanted to be the star of the next Academy Award winning hit, no matter how much I "want" it, it is not guaranteed to happen. In defense, many people will argue that one shouldn't take the remark so literally, that it just means that the avenue's and highways to success exist, it is the person's choice weather they take them or not; unfortunately, that is not the case. In the Great Gatsby Nick Carroway explains his love as, â€Å"†¦it was full of money-that was the inexhaustible charm that rose and fell in it, the jingle of it, the cymbal’s song of it†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (127) Hundred's of people start off with the Idea of becoming someone, and as their life progresses, they must completely adapt to a change of pace and ideas. How many people have gone out, and achieved the correct degrees, met the right people, been hired at the perfect job-only to be let go for a reason they could not have controlled. This is the Idea that I discussed on the first day of class. The idea of the Mesa being like the American dream, â€Å"You climb and climb, only to reach a plateau, that you will eventually fall over the other side of.†(first day notes) To me the "American Dream" is not just a dollar sign, or desk nametag, but the ability to walk into a room or a home, and know that your presence is welcomed and looked forward to. The dream is realizing that in America, we have the resources to make an honest difference. Unfortunately there was no reading that really embodied my version of the American dream. The closest book that came to it was, Their Eyes Were Watching God, because Janie did eventually realize that their was so much more to life than money, status, and material things.

To finally have read this book, I now know why this book was one of the main causes to the Civil War. To read the details about the pain and suffering that Tom and all of the other slaves faced really sickened my stomach and opened my eyes. I am glad to say that I have read the greatest book ever published about slavery, and if you ask me about any topic.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The information that I was able to gain from this book was and will be very useful to me for the rest of my life. In no way do I think of myself as a racist individual but never again will I allow myself to look at another person differently for their skin color, their disabilities, or look. This book really was a great learning experience; it has changed a small part of my mind that I will never lose.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Uncle Tom’s Cabin starts off with one setting and one story line and then breaks into two separate plots. In the beginning the story takes place on the Shelby plantation in Kentucky. The first chapter of the book is showing you the difference the author sees in Northern and Southern men. You can tell that the book is going to support the Northerners outlook on slavery. Mr. Shelby is in debt and he is trying to negotiate a deal with Mr. Haley to sell slaves to him. Mr. Haley notices a young boy Harry, who comes onto the porch to sing and dance, and wants to take him. Right after this Harry’s mother comes in and Mr. Haley wants her also because she is so beautiful. â€Å"A person is not measured by his accomplishments or possessions, but how he deals with people and how deep his relationship with God is. † Young as I am, I have been taught by my God fearing parents to value everything – big or small – that we have. I am not from a prestigious clan or a well-off family but I feel privileged because I was able to see life more meaningful and worth living. It’s all because of my loved-ones that keeps me going. Amid the crucial days that come my way, I would be standing there because I believe that tests won’t be given to me if I cannot surpass them. Being chosen as a National Discipline Awardee is another challenge for me. Challenge because I have to prove everybody that I deserve that award. Nevertheless, they would probably look at me with their eyes stick on everything that I will do and on decisions that I will make. But, I don’t mind them. I have nothing to do. I just have to be myself. I don’t have to be somebody else just to please everybody. I am confident that what I have right now is the fruit of what my parents taught me ever since childhood. The virtues that they implanted in my heart helped me a lot in achieving my goals and dreams. And now, it’s my turn to give them something that they can be proud of. This award would definitely give them so much joy. And as for me, it’s indeed an honor. But I know, it doesn’t stop there, it is better if I could share something for our society especially for the youth. I have often wondered how some of our youth today were greatly influenced by the modern trend. Some lives have gone astray and dreams of a good future vanished. All because of the bad vices that they have been practicing which they learned from the BAD influences in our environment. My heart bleeds every time I will see parents working so hard just to give their child all the things they need. Yet, their deeds often neglected. I guess, what is lacking, is the discipline in our youth sector. Our teachers never failed to remind us that resorting to drugs, alcohol, premarital sex and other form of vices is an immoral act or habit. And this will definitely ruin their lives and bring nothing but trouble. So instead of doing so, I learned to respect y God-given life, and nurture the talents that I have. â€Å"Discipline† of the youth, is what we need, and that is being pure in thoughts, in words and in deeds. It has been said that you may whatever you resolve to be. You must be determined to be something in the world, and you will be someone or something. â€Å"I cannot† never accomplished anything. â€Å"I’ll try† has wrought wonders. Opportunities – that would direct my lives, trials – that would teach me lessons, and decision-making – where I can apply all lessons I’ve learned from my daily experiences, will always be just around the corner, playing a vital part in my personal life. But what really matters, is that I know I have this determination and will to overcome difficulties and hardships. I may not be from a well-off family nor has deformity in my physical aspect; I believe I would never get tired of trying and trying again. For it is only in the minds of my detractors that I can’t do it. Failure is not a hindrance for me to stop believing and dreaming rather I make it an inspiration for me to try and strive my best even more and have enough perseverance to attain success. Lastly, I learned to think less of myself. I found out that there should be selflessness and diminish in my heart selfishness. For I believe that it is only through selfless love that I can find true happiness. Reaching out for others especially in the needs of time and sacrificing my personal advantages or desires for the good of the masses gives me fulfillment in my heart. The company boast of providing the most professional and reliable service with their comfortable coaches in the UK. Their coach fleet had served many people for vacation and other coach service imaginable. As one of UK’s leading suppliers of managed travel and transport services, they are able to serve their clients in UK and throughout Europe. The company encompassed the basic coach services they can offer, but the term transport management goes beyond more than just the transportation aspect. The company employs other reliable services like coach trains in UK’s grand central, corporate travel and transport requirements, accommodation reservations, both flight and rail ticketing services, and transport contract in their executive coaches, mini-buses, and vetted taxi rates. Since 1919 the company had dedicated their objectives in providing the best and quality service to travelers in the UK and in Europe. But as any company in the global market, there lies the factors of the business environment that affects the company in many of their decision-making processes. The company belonging to the complex and diverse business environment of the European Union experienced its share of transition and adaptation in the changes influenced by the growing and market environment. In this paper, we will evaluate the factors that influence the company as a leading transport management group. The European Union business environment, being as diverse and complex as it is, poses many opportunities and threats to the businesses included in that particular market. The paper must address these different economic opportunities and threats to the company so as to general assess how the business environment affects that growth and commerciality of the company. OVERVIEW Europe over the past years has been coping up with the integration of ten European countries objectively gearing towards a stronger economy competitive in the global market.(Harris, 1999) The paper attempts to evaluate the opportunities and threat of the European business environment in the specified company which caters to transport management. In general, the European economy is governed by an administrative body called the European commission which aims to integrate the different enterprise policy for the European Union economy. In general, the enterprise policy of the EU is to create an environment and venue for European entrepreneurs. It aims to favor the European environment to contribute to productivity in terms of growth, job opportunities and wealth necessary to carry the objectives of the European Council in March 2000.(Mercado, 2001) The High level group chaired by Wim Kok in November of 2004 reported the current situation of the European economies to address the Lisbon objectives. The European economies targets to reduce the total administrative burden of integrating economies of ten key cities, to improve the quality of legislation, to facilitate the rapid emergence of new and small enterprises and the creation of a healthy competitive environment which support the million businesses in Europe.(Darmer and Kuyper, 2000) It also aims to ensure the necessities of a competitive community industry, since the EU is composed of ten key cities, and encourages small and medium enterprises to initiate economic activities. ANALYSIS and DISCUSSION In order to evaluate the opportunities and threats of the European business in the transport sector, the generalized policies governing the EU economy will greatly be used as a referring factor and as a background of the EU economy. The Fraser Eagle Company that is concerned with transport management is an established company that is influenced by the different economic policies of the EU. The company which has improved its standards and qualifications are concerned with addressing the priorities of the EU economy. Since the company was established in UK and their services are specific in the European nations, the study of its environment can be referred to the different influence generated in its environment. One aspect in which we see the opportunities laid by the EU economy to the company is generating a proper avenue in which the company can adhere to necessary factors in their need to expand and improve their services. One opportunity of the EU is attributed to its environmental requirements that go hand in hand with the appropriate balance of environmental, economic and social objectives. As a transport management group, the must be able to ensure the proper standards of meeting the EU industrial policy. As a response, the company ensures the quality and efficiency of their energy and energy consumption that allows them to participate in the growth of their economy striking the balance between environmental, economic and social activities. The EU economy also encourages growth in productivity by addressing the need of the working sector. Fraser Eagle, along with the improvement of the company’s services had addressed this by continuously implementing other services that needs and requires other human skills. Starting from the coach services, the company expanded their services by cooperating with Grand Central of UK in providing coach servicing through railway to people. This opportunity brought by the growing economy of the EU had influenced the company to provide this kind of services. The company’s goal is to widen their scope of services and the opportunity brought by the Grand Central railway transport system of UK had presented them with that. Another one launched at the age of technology advancement is when the company employed a telecommunications service for their clients which aims to address the need of their customers. The EU encourages use of the advantages of communication in the united countries of European nations. Another way that Fraser Eagle handled this opportunity is setting up their own call center that caters to the continuous influence of communication in acquiring their transport services. The customer care program of the company is an easy and convenient way for the company to answer the needs and inquiries of their consumers. Also with this motivation, the company had provided another opportunity for work of Europeans. Being dynamic and global as it is, the EU had proposed several additional policies that encourage the companies to invest in languages that is proven to boost competitiveness among the companies included in the EU economy. Reports of the European Commission have stated that more European companies lose their business due to the lack of language skills. As the European Commissions response to this, the UK national Center for Languages was used to generate the information and to inform the different companies in the EU economy. Fraser Eagle used this information and included this in their e-telecommunications services and this had developed their coherent language strategies.   (Mercado, 2001) The transport sector of the European Union had faced a dramatic change over the course of period the EU was established. Before, the citizens of the different European Nations are denied of transportation to different regions of the country. For generations, the Europeans are denied with this privilege. In context of the economy, the transport sector, may it be air, land or sea concerns the mobility of economic activities. The transport sector in the EU economy is of great importance. For the threats, congestion was addressed as one of the challenges seen in the integration of ten key cities of the EU. It will be a pursuit for the company to widen the scope and area to which they can offer their services and also to make the services available to a greater number of consumers. There is also the continuous motivation to ensure the growing number of traveling individuals their safety thus the attempt to address the need for road safety in Europe. A transport growth forecast expects the freight transport to increase by 50 percent in the year 2020. Also this consequently adds to the 35 percent increase in passenger transport in the same predicted year. The challenge of the European Union is to address the greater number of people to cater too because of a more unified economy. There must be a strengthened effort to address the need for growing population and growing number of potential consumers. Changes in the European market have disadvantages and advantages in an established transport management company like Fraser Eagle. EU encourages the small and medium enterprises to bravely face the competitive EU economy. Given that Fraser Eagle is already well established, the competitiveness and spirit of small and medium enterprises encouraged by the EU can pose as a challenge for them. Several scenarios of which entail that SME can propose newer services that the Fraser Eagle does not have and thus incurring a loss in profitability. The SME can also be a reflection of the company’s strength and weaknesses . A SME smart enough to see what the company lacks will take the opportunity to present it to the growing and diversified population and consumers. Fraser Eagle also will have difficulty in adjusting to the European Commission’s policy on deindustrialization. In this process, Fraser Eagle will have to effectively deliver the demands of the policy in terms of the reduction of fossil fuels and other materials employed in their services. Being a transport management company that is very much influenced by this factor, Fraser Eagle will have to adhere to the EU policies. Given that innovation and competitive environment the EU is promoting, Fraser Eagle will indeed face many other competitors in the market. The competitive advantage of the company relies on its history and innovation practices but there still remains the challenge posed by the increasing number of key players in the EU economy. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION: The integrated economies of the ten members of the European Union have led companies to deliver the most diverse and asset in the growing economic community of the EU. The sustainability of the economy of EU relies on how companies treat and adhere to the opportunities and threats of the policies and nature of the business environment of the EU. One key aspect is innovation. Fraser Eagle will remain in its competitive stance if innovation persist and is adapted. The company had already taken most of the opportunity of the EU, including the greater number of consumers that rely on their transport management service. They had also used the great advantage of technology in competing with other transport service companies. The main threat of a unified economy is that the economic activities become homogenous and confined in Europe along, in and between the member countries. This limits the number of competition and key players that can affect the growth of its economy. There should be further study on the implication of the opportunities and threats of the European Union environment in different aspects of the society. Like mentioned, as business-oriented as the policies are, a study regarding how these opportunities and threats are perceived and received by the companies part of EU.
